Portrait of Lion



There's no Lion face you will see here but just Singapore's Cityscape, Street and People.
It's 4 days 3 nights single backpack trip during my holdiays.
Why Singapore? Well, it's a small and nearest country that easy to access majority of the local places and attraction.

Everyday woke up around 7:30am and back to bed around 1:00am, walking and snapping around the city everyday & night.
Some of the Street shots are "Hip Shot" (without aiming) from Lomo 10 goldgen rules.
The trip is also my own Documentary Assignment about Singaporeans' lifestyle & environment.

Depart at 06:15am from KL.

I chose to take bus just wanted to feel the journey although it takes long hours to arrive.


Half way break and looking at the morning cloud somewhere around Melacca state.

Trucks and buses queue up at Second link bridge to Kastam.
realized that a lot people are taken like a public bus travel to work in Singapore everyday,
seem like very popular for Johorian work there.


Arrived in port HabourFront at 11:30am, unexpected's early arriving.


When I was going to MRT station realized that the escalator are moving much faster in KL's Train stations,
Somehow it's working more efficiency in rush hours.

The Marina Bay "Ship" in the Air.






Wanted to go up there but too bad the security is only allow Hotels' Guest.

A cheerful Street Performer, While walking back to Hostel met this guy under the bridge around 12:30am.
I requested permission taking his picture while he's singing and he give me a smile and nodded at me.

He posing around for me to snap until he finish the song. Had a short chat with him knowing that he's only perform during the weekend, afterward I took out all my coins put it on his guitar bag.
Nice to met this guy.

End of day01.




Morning around 8:00am at Lau Pa Sat foodcourt.
Hawker are still in a sleeping mood, not many people around as it's still early.

Previously is a Food Market, a historical western style building.



Taking train to Orchard.





Simply get a bus for road tour without knowing where the bus go.


There's many church in the city .


Found out the bus are actually stop at the terminal near Changi Airport.
So I took a train to the Airport snapping around.




An Japanese guy browsing his Tour guide book inside the train to the City.
After I took this hip shot he looked at me, I was pretend playing camera as I was put it on my hip.
He continued his reading afterward. XD

In SG, you can cross road without worry the car will still stepping fuel panel towards you unlike M'sia.

End of day02.




Thanks god it's a Sunny day allow me to capture better sunlight.

After took this shot, I was thinking if I could stand higher to take that will be a much better view.
Just then, realize my back building there's a roof top allow people going up there. I decided to come again next day to take the sunset at higher spot.



I was rushing back to hostel get the tripod and go to the eastern part capture the sunset on the beach.

Another street performer cheers up the kids in ChinaTown.


Here's the eastern Pasir Ris Park, a very clean and secure garden near the beach.

Too bad can't see the golden "Egg" sunset.

End of day 03




An old uncle cleaner working in the Morning.
Realized that a lot of cleaners are old auntie uncle. Foreign labour mainly work in contruction.
After took this shot uncle stared at me and I just walked away then.

The old buildings there are always be beautified and refurbished.

Come back here again during last day, Not many people were around so
I went inside giving a short pray for my loved...

Durian uncle, their talking seem like fighting.
somemore holding a knife, after snapping I just quickly walk away.

Back to hostel and get the tripod ready for the last shot of sunset.



The Durian of the Art Theater.

I was lucky that can met something interesting in the Esplanade.
They're doing rehausal and sound test at the lobby hall.



It's a very cool motion music instrument by using hand movement.
slidely move the hands and fingers will be different key, tone and rythem~!

Here's the final shot for over the trip.Very satisfy with the shot and quite meaningful for me.
After this shot at 7:20pm and my bus departed at 8:00pm. Quickly rushed back to get my backpack and went to the port HabourFront. Arrived at 8:05pm and the bus run at 3 mins later.

Postscript

Overall the trip was so tiring. Walking from day to night, stations to stations.
But I had a great experience enjoy walking around, met and talked to strangers and ate local foods.
Well, Singapore, a city with great alive and the beauty of the clean environment.
