- Collections -

When during photo outing some of my friends would ask "Hey, how many cameras you actually have?
 every time brought differently....."

Here I decided to share with you all my humble little collection over 5 years since college life.
Some of them are broken, some are still in function.

Why I collect them? well, I like the design and beauty of classic cameras even the mechanic components,
especially those with fully mechanism function without battery support.
They're build tough to last long, I really appreciate those who designed these "robot",
unlike nowadays's compact digital cameras with fully electrical board.
I bought some of those mechanism function cameras are broken eventually I fixed them by removing some dust and re-adjusting mechanical gears then they're alive and working fine!
But some of them are using battery with electrical board, if water drip inside, it will then hardly fix...
so I prefer to collect those mechanical cameras.

Here I start with slightly new generation / modern cameras (Films).

   Brand : Fujifilm
   Model :  Instax MINI 7S
   Date Released : 2009
Film Type : Mini Instant Film

This is my 1st and only Instant camera and got it from company trip's lucky draw in 2010.
so far just spent only 4 packs of film, rarely use it.
I like the softness and color of the picture produced,  it will give you a dreamy feel.
Too bad the film is selling quite expensive otherwise will use it often :-P

   Brand : Konica
   Model : WaiWai Wide
   Date Released : 2003
   Film Type : Disposable 35mm

This is a very interesting disposable camera that give you a 18mm wide angle plastic lens,
since the lens are plastic made, when you shooting toward a light source will give a unique lens flare that only happen in most plastic toy camera.
On the internet people are teaching how to disassemble to re-load your film inside, so I tried on that and successfully re-use it for 4 rolls of film, after that are broken due to my sketchy.

   Brand : Gakkenflex TLR
   Model : -
   Date Released : 2009
   Film Type : 35mm

A DIY camera from Japanese's Genkken Magazine, bought it from Kinokuniya in 2010.
Originally the whole plastic body are black,
I cover the unwanted aread by masking tape and sprayed silver grey color on some part of the body.
Sooner will stick leather skin on the black surface making it look classic~
overall the camera are easy to use without battery needed, it need to manual focus by turning the bottom lens. just the picture frame might being overlap because lack of frame count indicator.

    Brand : Lomography
    Model :Holga 120 CFN
Date Released : originaly from Hong Kong 1991
Film Type : 120 medium format

Well, this is my very 1st Toy camera bought in 2007. Shot with different kind of 120mm & 35mm format and cross processing the film as well. Use it often during college  life. It has a build in color options flash light with 2 AA battery needed. Among all the lomo camera I like Holga the most as it produce the effect on the picture. Light leak, overlapping, vignette, softness, weird but nice color etc..

Brand : Olympus
Model : iZoom 2000
Date Released : 2001
Film Type : APS ( Advance Photo System format )

This is my family use camera that around year 2001-2003. It uses APS film, that is a advance format that close to digital, you cant see the film but just the film cartridge. The camera still can function but too bad the process are expensive and now already stop production of the film type.

   Brand : Olympus
   Model : mju-2 zoom 80
   Date Released : 1999
   Film Type : 35mm

This is another family use camera, it's a quite a tough camera as it got rain drop on the body before  but still can function until now. I still remember my parents use it quite often during my secondary school in 2000-2003. After that we bought our first Digital Camera then no longer use this camera.

   Brand : Olympus
   Model :XA
   Date Released :1979
   Film Type :35mm

This is an Rangefinder camera that I bought in 2009 from Internet. It's fully function and I like this camera very much in terms of the depth, bokeh, sharpness, color and the compact size itself , it use 2 small 357A batteries and build in battery Check function on the bottom of the camera as well.
The lens use F-Zuiko F2.8 35mm that give a great depth of field.
It use an aperture priority with selenium meter (Light meter) around the lens area. This is a camera that suitable for slow snapping user, because it take time to focus with rangefinder ;-)

   Brand : Olympus
   Model : Pen EE 2
   Date Released : 1968-1971
   Film Type :35mm

This is a interesting Half Frame camera I bought in Flea Market in 2011.
Use a standard 35mm of 36 pictures, with this camera it can shoot 72 pictures.
This is a fully mechanical camera with selenium meter around the lens as well. Due to it old age and the light meter is not accurate now, most of the picture are slightly over expose. When I first got this camera the light meter is not working because of dirt inside the selenium meter part. I removed the top cover to clean the dirt afterward it working fine, now the problem with the camera is a bit light leak and over expose.
But overall I'm still love it. :-)

   Brand :Yashica
   Model : MF 2
   Date Released : 80-90s
   Film Type :35mm
This is my mother's camera use it in 80s before I born. According to her it bought from Hong Kong and use it about 10 years later only broken. The shutter are working just the battery container are not function. It use 2 AA batteries and fully auto expose with only ASA setting can adjust, just like a point and shoot type of camera. Pictures of this camera taken are really nice in color and good sharpness.

   Brand : Lomo
   Model : Smena 35
   Date Released : 1990-1993
   Film Type :35mm
This is considered a Toy camera but with coated glass lens made in USSR. Made of full plastic body
and without battery needed's adjustable shutter speed camera from 1/15-1/250 + B and Aperture from F4-16. Focusing by manual from 1m to infinite.
I bought it in Central Market at an antique shop in 2007.
The camera now is still working fine just some dirt inside the lens.

   Brand :Nikon
   Model : FG
   Date Released : 1982-1984
   Film Type :35mm

This is my fist SLR camera bought in 2007 (second hand). When I first got the camera and the condition of it is totally just like new and working perfectly ,
was wondering the owner used how many times only.
It come with 50mm prime lens with manual focus. it also use 2 small 357A batteries but it work without battery in shutter speed of 1/90 only. I use it quite often until now, brought it to few trips in the pass few years. This is also one of my favourite camera.

   Brand :FED
   Model : 5B
   Date Released : 1975-1990
   Film Type :35mm

This is another Rangefinder camera with fully mechanical function. Made in USSR whole body build with metal and really tough. Lens can be change as well.
Bought it same place in Central Market. Condition of the camera was good just the lens now are stuck due to dust. I used it only one time because the camera is really heavy that lazy to carry out~!
Too bad it come without light meter support and strap holder, other than that... it's just Tough~!

   Brand :Argus
   Model : A2B
   Date Released : 1939-1950
   Film Type :35mm

Lastly, here's the oldest in the "family". When I got it the shutter are now working, so I took out the lens cover and study the mechanical flow, it look quite simple components inside the lens, Then only I found out just the release holder are slipped, after re adjusting and the camera are alive~!
This is a fully mechanical camera with metal made in USA.
Adjustable shutter speed and aperture from 1/25-1/150 + B & T,  F4.5-18.
There is a interesting light meter calculator on top of the camera,I don't even know how to calculate that. Focus has 2 distant focusing by pulling out the lens to become longer.
I treat it like an antique just putting it at home and never brought it out.

Basically that's all for my Film Cameras collections, if want to know more about these cameras you can leave me a message ;-) let's share the passion and interests!
Maybe I will post those picture taken from the cameras above next round.

Thanks for reading~ :-)
